Tim Olding has extensive experience in the areas of powertrain design and development. In the advanced vehicle engineering field, he has led engineering teams in advanced product development including the study and design of hybrid and diesel and natural gas powered vehicles.

Tim has a keen awareness that the engineer's role is to find the balance between technical performance, cost and timing such that the financial returns for the organisation are maximised. In his current role he is able to apply his skills in a different part of the private sector and further develop his business and finance skills as they apply to engineering projects.

Tim also has a strong interest in information management and has defined some simple methods for large teams to access and maintain key project information efficiently. He has a strong belief that the effective sharing of information is a key to improving efficiency, cutting waste and delivering projects on time.
