Mark McKenzie established Rare Consulting in 2005 and has led its development to the point where it is now a nationally recognised provider of transport and environmental solutions.

Mark is a senior transport professional with extensive experience in the environmental performance of road-based transport. His particular expertise is in two areas: the evaluation of the economic and environmental performance of alternative fuels and alternative vehicle technologies for road transport, and the development of strategic but practical responses to the challenges associated with the emergence of the carbon constrained economy – both in Australia and overseas.

Having worked as a senior manager in the NRMA Group of Companies, Mark has an acute understanding of the need to ensure that environmental solutions are both commercially grounded and take full advantage of the potential synergies with the core financial and market objectives of a commercial enterprise.

Mark is an accomplished public speaker and workshop facilitator, and has addressed a large number of national and international forums.
