Rare Consulting merges with pitt&sherry
On Monday 2 July 2012, Rare Consulting commenced operations as a wholly owned division of pitt&sherry. The acquisition marks a new era in the evolution of Rare Consulting as a leading provider of transport, energy and carbon solutions within the Asia-Pacific market.
pitt&sherry is a dynamic professional services firm that has been at the vanguard of new ideas in consulting engineering for many years. The company was a finalist in the 2012 BRW Client Choice Awards (for a third successive year) providing testimony to its high quality engineering services in the areas of community, transport and industrial infrastructure. In recent years, pitt&sherry established a Climate Change team focusing on the delivery of climate strategy and energy efficiency solutions for clients in the Australian marketplace. It is this team that has provided the catalyst for the acquisition.
The integration will create a substantial strategic services consultancy that will be headed by Mark McKenzie (Rare Consulting) and Phil Harrington (pitt&sherry). We are now well positioned to satisfy all of your needs in respect of energy and carbon strategy for transport and non-transport applications alike. As a division of a much larger company, we also have new capacity to support you on your journey from feasibility studies to project delivery via a suite of in-house engineering services in the areas of transport, industrial operations and mining.
Importantly, the change will not alter the quality of services offered by Rare Consulting under the umbrella of its existing brand. Nor will it alter Rare’s unwavering commitment to deliver ‘innovative but practical’ solutions to our clients through deep analysis and uncommon thinking. All of our staff will continue under the new arrangements thereby ensuring that the consultants you have worked with in the past will continue to be available to you in the future.
